Provenance

Our mission is to serve seasonal cuisine bringing out the best of the wonderful local products from sea, shore and mountains. We do so by sourcing the finest produce available locally in Argyll and other areas of Scotland.

MEAT

Jackson Butchers, Oban

Jackson Butchers is family owned and run by the 3rd generation. Its beef is specially raised for them by Duncan Henderson at Whitehouse Farm in the shadow of Stirling Castle. The specialist beef finisher buys stock from breeders in Islay, Tiree, Dalmally and as far up the west coast as Fort William and Skye. When these cattle flourish in the kinder conditions of the Carse of Stirling they provide a weekly supply for the Oban butcher.

Simpson Game, Inverness-shire

Located in the Highlands, Simpson Game offers finest quality of Scottish wild venison and game birds.

Gilberts, Taynuilt

All hens and pigs are free-range and pasture raised resulting in best quality eggs, dry cured bacon and sausages.
